Dr. Alexandru Schiopu receives 3 MSEK from the Bundy Academy at Lund University

Dr. Alexandru Schiopu has been awarded the big prize in cardiology of 3 000 000 SEK (approximately 300 000 EUR) by the Bundy Academy at Lund University. The funds will finance Dr. Schiopu’s research aiming to understand and modulate the role of inflammation in heart disease.

Calprotect’s founder receives the “Prince Daniel research grant for young promising researchers” and 6 MSEK for further development

In a ceremony held at the Royal Castle in Stockholm, CALPROTECTs founder Dr. Alexandru Schiopu has personally received the “Prince Daniel research grant for young promising researchers” from His Royal Highness Prince Daniel. The grant of 6 000 000 Swedish kronor (approximately 600 000 EUR) is financed by the Swedish Heart and Lung Foundation and will support further development of the groundbreaking scientific findings that have laid the foundation of CALPROTECT AB.
